Joséphine de Mevius
Joséphine de Mévius est diplômée avec grande distinction d’un Master en droit de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles depuis 2018. Son Erasmus s’est déroulé à l’Université de Copenhague.
Durant son parcours universitaire, elle s’est intéressée tout particulièrement au droit de l’environnement, et elle a complété sa formation par un LLM en droit et politique international environnemental à l’université de Kent.
Elle a débuté sa carrière au sein de la Commission européenne dans le DG Environnement où elle a, entre autre, pris part à l’élaboration du règlement visant à lutter contre la déforestation liée à la production et l’importation de certains produits. La législation se base principalement sur le mécanisme de « due diligence ».
Elle a également suivie une formation complémentaire à Solvay en Business.
Elle a débuté le barreau en droit de l’urbanisme et de l’environnement en octobre 2021.
Elle a rejoint Alterys en février 2024.
Elle collabore avec Me Philippe Van Roost et Me Brieuc Petre et pratique essentiellement le droit immobilier et le droit de l’entreprise.

Joséphine de Mévius obtained her Masters in Public and International Law in 2018 at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Her Erasmus was at the University of Copenhagen.
During her studies, she was particularly interested in environmental law, and completed her training with an LLM in International Environmental Law and Policy at the University of Kent.
She began her career at the European Commission in DG Environment, where, among other things, she took part in drafting the regulation to combat deforestation linked to the production and import of certain products. The legislation is mainly based on the 'due diligence' mechanism.
She also undertook the ABInbev SHARE formation organized by the Solvay Business School.
She began the bar practicing mainly land planning and environmental law in October 2021.
She joined Alterys in February 2024.
She works with Philippe Van Roost and Brieuc Petre and practices mainly in real estate and corporate law.
